there are some people in this world who make you feel on top of the world, that change your outlook on life for the better, that make you want to jump up and see what your future has instore...
Then there are the others who happily stamp all over your new shiny positive outlook on life, being proud of your children etc wuth their glum moody outlook and end up making you feel as bad as they do....
why is this? do they earn a special badge at Grumpy Club that week, 'Oo (insert grumpy name) I made a little girl cry today, extra badge for me!'
I worry so much about my childrens upbringing as every parent does, and i do seek reassaruence from my close family and friends. Then in wades a GRUMPIST and makes me feel like the tinest person in the world.....
I have had enough, I will not let their lonely views bring down my opionion of my parenting or how I see other areas of my life which I deem to be a success!
As the saying goes 'Dont let the GRUMPISTS grind you down....'

Is anyone there?
Do you ever find yourself in a crowded room with nobody to speak too?
But log onto Facebook and there will be hundreds of people waiting for you to like their picture or add a comment to their status....
What has happened to actually seeing our friends?
I have never really been close to anyone and I do find it hard to trust anyone outside my family circle, even more so now with the buzz of social media in the air, actually meeting up with your friends or making any new ones is just not cool anymore.
Even before I had children I rarely went out for a few drinks or to the cinema unless it was with my husband, is it because I am a woman that I just don't trust anyone, or because I am haunted by the constant bitching and being stabbed in the back during my high school years.
I longed for a friend who was honest to my face and respected my opinion instead of saying one thing to my face and then another thing behind my back, was that to much to ask for?
At school it seemed so.. but I have found along the way my very true friends who are there for you no matter what, who will literally drop everything for you when you need their help or advice, and vice versa. Life still gets in the way, kids, holidays and work are all preventing us from meeting up and having true 'FaceTime' with our friends, a real conversation that doesnt involve the word LOL at the end of each sentence!
Of course it isn't all bad seeing people on Facebook/Skype etc, I have made contact with loads of people and family all the way in Australia that otherwise without Facebook I wouldn't be able to chat too. When my sister visited Africa the only way I could tell her I was pregnant was via Skype.
I am going to make a pledge that from this blog onwards I will make plans and stick to them to see my lovely friends more, and have tea parties or if we ever get a summer a BBQ in the garden drinking Summer Pimms!
I hope you all join me in making sure we have true friendships with the people around us not just with their Facebook page!
