The Two Year Old Tornado!

What on earth happens to our children when they hit the dreaded age of two years old? Its like a switch has been turned to naughty and everything is different!

My daughter is pretty good most of the time but some days (like today) everything and everyone will set her off into her tantrum tornado and nothing we do can fix it or change the day around!
This morning we had a good painting session which included a bath and a lovely cuddle after watching Winnie the Pooh... however after lunch my girl decided that this day was going far too well and needed something to make it explode... this usually starts where it always does with picking on her little sister.

I honestly don't know what happened in those last few happy minutes before she decided to turn her tantrum switch to high, but I would love to know...I know to look for triggers but each time the situation is so different that I cant seem to find a common trigger.
I decided to look up some advice on line about dealing with tantrums.. . But all I seemed to find was the 'perfect' mother telling me how their perfect child quietens their tantrum after just one word...? This I find unbelievable!I am thinking of trying Supernanny and her discipline book, but we shall see! We have tried the time out step which only works when Daddy is around and also ringing Father Christmas but my daughter seems to see straight through us.

Today I have pulled out the big guns and sent her to bed for a nap... this has not happened in about 2 months... maybe she is just tired again and is starting to need another sleep in the day... who knows!

It seems what works today doesn't always work tomorrow!

Crazy Busy!

Wow it has been a very long  time since I last posted on here, who knew a second baby could take up so much time ;) even as I type baby is sat on my knee whilst I type one handed!
Just a quick one today to say hi... I will have to try again once baby is asleep! Can you really call a nine month old who has two teeth,crawls and says Hiya and Daddy a baby anymore? Maybe a tweenie?

Anyway must dash, tweenie is not happy!
