The One Where...

This week has been a bit crazy I have had my Mums' car for the week and I have loved every single second. Nipping here and there, playing out at Grandmas and going for a cheeky coffee and cake.

However this did also mean that because we were nipping everywhere my eldest didn't have her nap after nursery like usual as her Mummy was on a driving binge and very much enjoying her new found freedom.

All was well, a grumpy toddler I can deal with and as she only does nursery 3 mornings a week I thought she would recover with her days off.

This was not what happened, as I honestly knew what would happen, the tiredness built up into one huge massive tantrum and ended up with me being rugby tackled to the floor by a 3 year old in the middle of Asda...

Yes you did read that right... RUGBY TACKLED BY MY 3YO TO THE FLOOR IN ASDA!

I walked straight out and sat in the car in absolute shame and also mortified at how much of a bad Mummy I had been this week!

This week my daughter will be having a nap after nursery, I wont have the car.. and I wont be returning to Asda for a very long time.. unless I wear a disguise.

Mortified!

The Lowry Food Festival

Hope you all have had a great bank holiday weekend. I loved having some sunshine finally!

I have had a lovely couple of days I went to The Lowry Food Festival with my sisters and mum. It was just amazing, the cheese, lamb burgers that were just beautifully tender, a fire cooked pizza which was just out of this world. I did not want to leave!

The lamb burger we shared was just divine and made by  The Big Green Egg Company it was Greek inspired with a yogurt and mint relish and houmous. The lamb was so tender and extra tasty. I hadn't seen these Big Green Eggs before but the lamb was to tasty not to recommend.

We also sampled some delicious cheese made by Ford Dairy Farm. Chilli and Lime, which fills your mouth with the heat of the chilli then follows the zesty lime just beautiful. The Cracked Black Pepper is amazing, a tiny piece can fill your whole mouth full of flavour, I have honestly never tried cheese like it.. I purchased the Mustard and Ale cheese which has a lovely 'honest' flavour from the ale.. like your sitting in a lovely old pub drinking a good pint of ale, and a nice ham and mustard sandwich. I also bought the Garlic and Herb cheese as I adore Roule cheese and just had to buy this from the moment I tried it, just beautiful.

This next one is because I love ice cream, I love vintage inspired things and mostly I love (adore) VW camper vans..

Pollys Palour were at the food festival, I have never seen this company before but I just loved it instantly. Mainly due to the beautiful van, it was scorching hot and they had ice cream! I had Honeycomb and Chocolate Fudge Brownie both of which had chunks of honeycomb and fudge brownie.. think Ben & Jerry's.
You can hire the ice cream van out for events etc and I can see in the summer this would be a great hit.

I personally loved it and judging by the queue so did a lot of other people!

I am not really a foodie blogger but I was just so pleased with these companies and their amazing produce that I had to share! I did not receive anything in return!

Summer dreaming

I have been really looking forward to May, the weather usually cheers up a bit and we can get out a bit more, April has been horrible with both my girls being so poorly.. but they are now finally on the mend.

I have literally not been out of the house unless it was a doctors visit for about 3 weeks and as my girls were starting to improve my Mum rang and invited us out for coffee. I was so excited I even washed my hair!

Just to be out of the house and feel the warmth of the sunshine on my back was enough. I seriously cannot wait for summer, lusting after all the summer clothes in the shops today only made me want it more. Flip flops and not big huge winter boots, no scarfs and the girls can wear shorts and t shirts.

Having friends and family over for BBQ and lush summer cocktails. Freshly painted toe nails being shown off in your beautiful new flip flops, flowers in your hair and lying on the sun lounger.

Having a glass of wine sat round the chimnea when the girls are asleep...

Playing in the paddling pool with my two girls and watching them play on the slide screaming when they reach the water spray...

I really love Summer and I really hope its not a complete and utter wash out... if so I am moving abroad somewhere where the sun always shines!

I think it just seems to set everyone free, there seems less worries and stress when the sun is shining and everyone is picnicking or having BBQs.

What is your favourite thing about Summer?
