It has all been a bit crazy here the last few weeks with my eldest starting nursery and then a bug coming to stay...it seems to have made itself nice and comfy too!
Last Monday my eldest did her first morning at nursery.. all was well except she came home poorly and has been poorly ever since, I know this is common and she will become more immune to everything as she continues going.
I am really pleased with the nursery we have chosen, the staff are all lovely and helpful, and the children all seem very settled and happy.
The settling in sessions all went well and I feel confident that Faith will do well there and bloom into a lovely little girl all ready for school.
However my eldest starts nursery school in September and as you can only use the 15 hours childcare grant for one setting we will be paying for the nursery school, it is however much cheaper than the private nursery (£3 a hour) my only worry is having my daughter go to 2 different settings going to confuse her?
Currently I am thinking of doing two full days at the private nursery and then 3 mornings a week at the nursery school, mainly because I want to hold onto her place for the school. I also think a lot of the children she is currently with at the private nursery will also be attending this nursery school in September.
So while all this is whirring around my head, my youngest daughter was whisked to hospital with suspected meningitis, it in fact turned out to be in the end a severe ear infection but was awful none the less... Seeing your 1yr old pinned down whilst two nurses trying to take blood from her is not something you forget easily!
A week later and baby was improving until her antibiotics finished and the whole weekend has been spent administering medicine to a very hot little girl but fortunately we managed to get a doctors apt this morning for more antibiotics, just hope it clears properly this time.
Anyway my eldest is better and off out for the day with her Grandma to be spoilt rotten I presume whilst my poorly baby and I catch up on sleep and housework.
Looking forward to next week and hopefully two well children!
